Managing Your Contacts
Your contacts are the people who receive your cards. Here's everything you can do with them.
The Contacts Page
Go to Contacts in the sidebar to see all your contacts.
Viewing Contacts
The contacts table shows:
- Name — Click to view full details
- Birthday — Month and day (or "—" if unknown)
- City, State
- Gender
- Address status — Green checkmark (deliverable), red X (undeliverable), or gray circle (unknown/pending)
Filtering & Sorting
- Search — Find contacts by name
- Filters — Filter by birth month, gender, or address status
- Sort — By name, birthday, city, state, gender, status, or date added
Adding Contacts
Upload a CSV
Go to Contacts → Upload Contacts tab. Drag and drop your CSV file or click to browse. See the Uploading Contacts via CSV article for full details.
Add Manually
Click Add Contact to open a step-by-step form:
- Basic Info — First name, last name, email, phone, contact type (buyer/seller/other), gender
- Address — Street address, city, state, zip
- Important Dates — Birthday, home anniversary, or custom dates. Month is required; day and year are optional.
- Review — Check everything, then click "Save Contact"
If a contact with the same name and address already exists, you'll see a duplicate warning.
Editing Contacts
Click the pencil icon next to any contact to edit their details:
- Name, email, phone
- Address (if you change the address, it will be re-validated)
- Birthday and transaction date
- Gender and contact type
Deleting Contacts
Click the trash icon to delete a contact. If the contact has active mailers (scheduled or in transit), you'll see a warning showing:
- How many active mailers will be canceled
- Credits that will be refunded
- Which batches are affected
You can also select multiple contacts and delete them in bulk.
Contact Details Page
Click a contact's name to see their full profile:
- All contact information (validated vs. submitted address)
- Important dates (birthday, transaction date)
- Mailer history — Every card sent to this contact across all batches
- Mailer stats — Total mailers, sent, scheduled, delivered, failed
Processing Unprocessed Contacts
If you uploaded contacts before subscribing, they may show as "uploaded" (not yet processed). A banner will appear on the Contacts page offering to process them. Processing means:
- Address validation — Checking each address against USPS records
- Birthday discovery — Searching for birthday data automatically
Click "Process All" to start.
