Designing Your Card

Magic Mailer gives you full control over your card designs. You can upload your own images, use our included designs, or mix and match. Every card is a premium 4×6 postcard printed in full color on thick cardstock with a UV gloss finish.

Where to Manage Designs

Go to Designs in the sidebar to access the image library and template gallery. You can also create new designs directly within the Send wizard (Step 3).

Images — Your Library & Included Designs

The Images tab is where you manage all your image assets.

Uploading Images

  • Drag and drop or use the file picker
  • Max file size: 10MB per image
  • You can upload images for any purpose: card fronts, card backs, headshots, logos, etc.

Image Types

When uploading, you'll choose a type:

  • Card images — Full postcard images intended for the front or back of a card
  • Asset images — Smaller component images like headshots, logos, or icons used within system templates

My Library vs. Included

Toggle between two collections:

  • My Library — Images you've uploaded
  • Included — Curated designs and images provided by Magic Mailer

Organizing Images

  • Tags — Add tags to your images to keep them organized
  • Detail view — Click any image to see it full size with next/previous navigation
  • Delete — Remove images you no longer need

Templates — Your Card Designs

The Designs tab shows all your saved templates.

What's in a Template?

Every template has two sides:

  • Front side — An image. This can be any image you upload or one of our included designs.
  • Back side — Choose one of two options:
    • Custom image — Upload or select any image. It's printed exactly as-is with no editable fields. This gives you full control over the card back.
    • System template — A professionally designed layout with customizable text and image fields. Fill in your details (name, phone, message, headshot, logo) and the system handles the layout. Each recipient gets a personalized card with their name automatically inserted.

Creating a New Template

You can create templates from the Designs page ("Create New Design") or during the Send wizard (Step 3).

The process has 3 steps:

  1. Select front image — Browse your library, our included designs, or upload a new image right from this screen
  2. Select back side — Choose "Image" for full control, or "System Template" for easy customization
  3. Review — Preview the complete card and make final adjustments

Customizing System Templates

If you chose a system template for the back side, you can customize:

  • Agent name, company, phone, website — Your professional details
  • Greeting message — A custom message for your recipients
  • Headshot and logo — Selected from your image library
  • Colors — Color pickers for design elements
  • QR codes — Auto-generated QR codes (e.g., linking to your website)
  • Auto-personalized fields — Things like the recipient's first name are filled in automatically for each contact

Changes are previewed in real time so you can see exactly what the printed card will look like.

Template Actions

From the Designs page, you can:

  • Edit — Change text, images, or other customizable fields
  • Duplicate — Create a copy of a template to use as a starting point
  • Delete — Remove a template (confirmation required)
  • Manage tags — Organize templates with tags
  • Use in batch — Jump straight to the Send wizard with this template pre-selected

Preview

Every template generates automatic proof images showing exactly what the printed card will look like — front and back. These update in real time as you make changes.
